Tannaz Daemi-Rashidi was born and raised in Tehran, Iran.
Like many artists, she expressed an interest in art, and especially photography, at a young age.
While still in Iran, she took private lessons to hone her natural skills as an artist, learning the many different techniques of lighting, staging, developing and how to get the best from her camera and her subjects.
Having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art in Teheran, she went on to work in graphic design though photography remained her real passion.
Her formal training continued when she attended classes at Pasadena City College after having received a scholarship to continue her higher education.
Tannaz works from a studio in Glendale running a company called ‘Beyond Tomatoes.’
The company provides a wide range of services from fashion, conceptual, portrait and family photography to graphic design of stationery, packaging and overall illustration work.
Tannaz has also created exceptional portfolios of fine art photography, including a series of underwater shots.
Tannaz enjoys working with people. Before a shoot she likes to establish a relationship with her subjects. Though she has endless ideas about what she’d like to do with each project, clients are encouraged to discuss their own ideas and when a concept for the shoot has been decided, Tannaz does everything possible to make the experience comfortable and enjoyable. Her primary concern is always to focus totally on giving each client the perfect artistic results that they expect. Her attention to her clients’ needs has garnered her glowing testimonials and referrals from more than satisfied customers.
As a photographer, Tannaz is always seeking to get the shot that captures the essence of the person or the moment.
Tannaz and her crew are able to bring in qualified make-up artists and stylists for clients at additional charges.
