So says the artist:  "My work cannot be categorized into one particular style... it constantly evolves. I enjoy pure Abstraction, but also portraits with an Abstract flair. Some pieces are smooth and full of detail, some are pure or partial mixed media Abstraction. I am partial to strong, bold, bright colors. I would say that color is the one constant in my work. In each piece, I strive to portray a vitality that reflects my sometimes idealized perception of the world around us."

A former art critic and patron said the following about Ron's work:  "The work has an intentional simplicity of subject and innocence of vision... The Post-Impressionists like Gauguin had this quality. This is as opposed to a slick, realistic conception. It works well with its lively execution."

Ron Klotchman is a self-taught artist living in Los Angeles. Always a creative soul, his first love was acting.  He began at a very young age, and at age eighteen, he attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After years of doing local theater, Ron decided to take a job that became a great career.  The cost, however, was his creativity. After more than ten years in the corporate world, Ron knew he needed to reclaim his creative roots.  Instead of returning to acting, he picked up a paintbrush for the first time. Without any formal training, Ron starting showing and selling his art just a few months after producing his first works.  Finally, after fourteen years at his day job, he quit. Ron now dedicates himself to being a full time artist.  He paints by instinct.  His free flowing Impassto style and bold colors make his work popular with collectors all over the US.  Recently he has sold pieces to collectors in Australia and Canada as well -fulfilling his dream of having his work "hanging around the world".
