Rachel Matos is a visual artist, educator and professional actress. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and Columbia University majoring in painting and the history of modern art. She has worked as a commissioned portrait painter and art educator for such prestigious organizations as LACMA, Norton Simon Museum, The Guggenheim, The Met, The Bronx Museum, Montclair Art Museum, Smithsonian Cooper Hewitt and the Philadelphia Museum of Art, among many others. She specializes in the development of educational programs for art institutions and often serves as a guest lecturer and curator.
She also works as an independent curator, as an art consultant and is an active blogger on the local art scene.
Her artworks have been exhibited at the Woodmere Art Museum, the Colombian Consulate, the Society of Illustrators, and Rockefeller Center.
