Luise ‘Mignon’ Andersen has only recently begun to reveal her life’s work. Soon after her debut, she garnered critical acclaim and recognition as her work filtered into the mainstream art world. Her paintings, sculptures, mixed media pieces and her digital artworks have captured the interest of art collectors internationally and she has shown her work in exhibitions and galleries in the USA, Europe and China.
Through her art, Luise invites the viewer to glimpse through a window into another dimension; to decipher her pictorial stories of the past and future as she tells them through the mesh of figurative shapes, fluid colors and forms. One senses the raw emotion that the artist infuses into her work and one’s imagination is ignited by the finished canvas. There is a fine transparency to the layering of her work, creating a sense of depth. One is drawn in, as if caught in a vortex, and then swept into the story within. Luise’s attention to detail adds an extra element that enhances the overall strength and magnetic power of the finished works.
Luise Andersen has created a prolific portfolio of work over the years and has gained a reputation for innovative ideas and styles.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I crave painting, drawing, sculpting & writing. It’s like re-inventing my life, my purpose and myself. It gives me direction, the courage to look at myself and find 'ME' in there -at least for the duration of the creating. ....And once I collect these shards of my core within colors, shapes, form & words I 'see' myself - and you.
I, as an artist, share my best work with you –the art viewers. Out of curiosity, hunger for beauty, love or simply out of the desire to check out the latest - whatever the reason you visit my work, know that I feed also on your response - be it encouraging or critical.
Please remember, exposure increases my vulnerability. I trust, that whatever will be said of my art, will make me grow and learn. I hope that my work, my creative gift to you will get your understanding, appreciation and delight your senses.
