I was born in New Zealand but have spent the greater part of my life living in Europe (England, Scotland, Germany, France and Italy) and in Canada. Since 2000, I have been living in Pasadena, California, with my American-born husband.  My life has been full of different artistic phases -- training in photography at OCAD in Toronto,  theater acting and direction, language teaching, event organizing, voice-over work for movies and many years of radio broadcasting. In Los Angeles I have become a full-time digital artist -- showing work in galleries and art venues throughout the wider city. Recently I had solo shows at the Abbot Kinney Art Gallery in Venice CA (2006) and ArtHouse Gallery in Santa Monica (2007).  The newest development in my art is that I am now starting to paint on canvas -- and sometimes converting these paintings into digital art.

 

My current work is concerned with the human condition and metaphysical themes - the straining towards transformation and change, the difficulty and joy of life's journey and the mystery of space and the spheres.

The work has become a kind of spiritual expression -- moving closer to the process of painting and reveling in the power of color.
