In the course of our chaotic lives, we find paths that lead us from one journey to the next. We find these paths in our waking world and our dreaming world. I have been fortunate to find places that seem to be part of both worlds.
On this page you’ll find examples of work from four different portfolios of work.
“Disappearing Beauty” is a collection of photographs which was inspired by the polemic surrounding global climate change. It documents my own search to explore the seven continents for places where the wonders of nature can still inspire the spirit. The potential impact of climate change to the world’s natural heritage is a challenge we must all face and resolve. “Dreamtime at Stowlake” are images of daily journeys I have taken through a landscape that I much love and which never ceases to enthrall me. The images reflect the dream- like quality of finding oneself at one with such surrounds.
“Nine Sentiments” is a series of images which evoke for me ‘love gained and lost.’ As the wind sweeps through the reeds and tall grasses, so our lives are swept into turmoil by the great tides of emotions which swell within us – and then recede.
“Echos” was inspired by the story of Sleeping Beauty. I imagined what it would be like to sleep for a hundred years and then to wake to a dramatically changed world where disharmonious images shift back and forth.
