I am Humberto Braga - your average carbon-based humanoid space cadet with a fetish for the visual- at your service.
I won't try to make a profound subjective statement on how I feel about my artwork. Whatever I try to create or "say" is shadowed by what it creates outside of me, which constantly creates me in turn. Anyhow, the art is far more important than my momentary perspective.
If anything I want to know what YOU have to say about it before I spill my beans and influence your perception. C'mon- don't be shy...
Art is neither the medium, nor the artist, nor the space, nor the observer's perception. Art lies within the interaction of observation, the interface, the edge outside ourselves, which is the interaction of feeling and unveiling of new perspectives, unfolding through all of us. It is about bringing to light things about ourselves that are abnormal, things that we try to suppress.
Art is more than an existentialist catharsis and a social barometer. It's a moment of opportunity which opens into eternity. It's the domain in which we delve in to the dimension of the imagination, the unknown, and the metaphysical to retrieve a thimbleful of translated truth from the ocean of mind.
Here we are my strange and beautiful shipmates, as one…navigating onward to the horizon.
People can be divided into three groups: Those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder, what just happened? Each of us chooses freely the group to which we belong.
The images on this page are conceptual realizations and illustrations from an unfettered imagination
