More Works My art influences come from everything around me, color, shape and form. I've never been able to pinpoint specific things that are translated onto the canvas. Originally a creature of the Design world with an education in Design and Art and Art History, my endeavor on canvas came only fairly recently in the scheme of things. In some regard I am a late bloomer in the field. My passions have never run stronger for anything, (except love) than they have for art. Many people see passion in my work and that's what I feel whether I am actually painting or talking about it to others.
My medium is spray paint on canvas; on some pieces I use various forms to provide boundaries on the canvas and on others I freehand. Unless I am creating a version of a previous painting I usually don't know for sure how a painting will look when I start. I begin with a thought or an idea and just let it grow and take shape. I find the process amazing, almost like nurturing a living thing. I usually know at a moment’s notice when the painting is finished. In my artwork I explore nature and the built-world and the relationship between the two. We cannot live without either one. My interpretations evolve around how these two elements play against each other and how each changes the other, and us. Famous Artists' works that mesmerize me includes work by Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock, Picasso and Jasper Johns. **** Giclees and prints are available for most of my work.
