I am a watercolorist who enjoys painting landscapes. The outdoors seems to offer an endless opportunity for the artist. A dramatic sky, an abandoned lighthouse, a rusting car or vintage fire truck may be found in my paintings.
I welcome the challenges of the medium. The crispness and freshness the water-based paints provide is often surprising and exhilarating. The evolution of my approach or painting style has been especially rewarding. The artist is not a recorder. Recent work is becoming more interpretive and exciting.
