Carole Gillin is an accomplished multi-media artist painting in various styles from realism to abstract. The striking quality of her work is the way she expresses color relationships by expertly juxtaposing colors which relate to each other and then to the composition as a whole. She has clearly mastered the interplay of light, shadow and form using bright colors in balance and simple harmony.
Carole uses lines as an accent or enhancement. This light linear quality helps underline the essence of the scene which is mostly defined by swatches of pure color pulling together the composition.
Carole’s painting is about hand, eye, brain and heart. She paints in a pure and honest way to capture the essence and the emotion of the moment.
For more than 10 years, Carole Gillin has exhibited in group shows with a circle of local friends as “Inseparable Wings.”
